So here's my guess at the final ten:

10. Bjork
9. My Morning Jacket
8. Tom Waits
7. Decemberists
6. Radiohead
5. Fleet Foxes
4. Feist
3. Black Keys
2. Bon Iver
1. Ed Vedder

I think Bon Iver will be 1, Black Keys 2 and EV 3. I also think Radiohead and MMJ or Tom Waits will round out the top 5.

Man I hated that Opeth record. Such a shame too. When I had heard it was more mellow/prog I was really excited because I love, love, love Damnation. Its probably in my top 3 for them.

I like Damnation but i think Heritage exceeds it in pretty much every way.

Heritage is good, but it's still standing at disappointment with me. I don't see it being a record I'll be listening to, say, next year. I loved the shit out Damnation when it came out, but it's not one I put on often, even though I still like it quite a bit.

I think eight from my list didn't make the cut.

The Horrible Crowes – Elsie
The Low Anthem – Smart Flesh
Greg Brown – Freak Flag
John Hiatt – Dirty Jeans and Mudslide Hymns
The War On Drugs – Slave Ambient
Elbow – Build a Rocket Boys!
Thee, Stranded Horse – Humbling Tides
Russian Circles – Empros

The Black Keys album is good, and it made my top 25, but I'm not sure it should be number one. For the longest time I thought The Decemberists album would be my number one. It was quite close for sure. Bon Iver should be top three. I placed it number one right over The Horrible Crowes album. I'm sure not many hear like THC or have listened to them.

i'm fairly certain that the following will make the RM top 50:

eddie vedder
radiohead
the black keys
the foo fighters
feist
*forgot bon iver's s/t too.

so rather than give them any more points toward their all but locked up inclusion, i figured i'd rank what i did.
i regret nothing.

y'all should check out WU LYF, unouomedude, and the smith westerns.

:peace: good work by all, and thanks MF for taking the time.

Also, I don't know how I forgot about Kurt Vile. I meant to include him on that top 10 prediction, but it slipped my mind.
