i wa sthinking about his whole "highest piad team cant start in a funk" and wondered:

1. They are professional and your a bum so calling them out is silly, regardless of whether you write the checks...which takes me to.....

2. You overpaid half these old timers and most of teh others so you marked up th emarket value, the more you pay someone doesnt equal how much better they will play, does it?

3. He is in for a rude awakening, an old pitching staff with them banking on Pavano who had 1, count it, 1 good season and dished out some 40 mil

4. Now that the O's seem to be coming of age with roberts playing and sosa in camden they have to battle the sox and the O's arent a pushover...Tampa can be streaky and proved it by beating Johnson last night

5. My prediction...yanks dont go to playoffs this year, and steinbrenner is a douche

The only point I agree with is that paying millions won't make you play better. Reggie Jackson said "A fat contract only makes a player wealthy"

The Yanks will go to the play-offs. Last year they were 10-15 at the end of April and still won 101 games

but you have to factor in the age and longevity of their roster, coupled with an incredibly improved division

I will be more impressed with the O's when they are still playing like this at the end of June.

Everyone likes to predict doom for the Yankees, last I checked they have 148 games left. Lets wait and see

If things get to bad in the Bronx I think we'll just see a trade.

Maybe since they know Helton's available they'll come in and swoop up that contract, send Giambi to die in Colorado.

He'll be an Oriole before you know it. The Rockies want to get rid of his fat contract.

Sorta. Aren't the Rockies looking to unload that contract, and isn't Baltimore interested in taking it on?

im not willing to put money on it, but its a message board forum an dyou seem to be the one taking it too seriously, im simply saying the days of spending big bucks and getting w's are over an dthe yanks have an old roster depending on a lot of old players who will no doubt be feeling it down the stretch coupled with an improved division and it could be bad for em, thats all im saying

so you're saying the Yankees have old players and it could be bad for them. Way to go out on a fucking limb. what else can you predict for us? Will the fucking sun come up tomorrow? Will the it rain sometime next month?

Sun - yes but it may be behind clouds depending on where you live
Rain - also depending on where you live but it will most likey fall but may not reach the ground so the numbers are skewed

just thowing some stuff out there, the reality of life is your body cant take the beating it once could, and the division is alot better......i dont get why your taking this topic of discussion so personally. They also have no depth, why do you think they havent won the series lately with all of these talented players? They won it routinely when they had these same cor eplayers but were younger, they cant get teh job done down the line and i think its gonna happen before the playoffs this year. Geeze you need to take a nap, people can have different opinions, its okay, trust me.
