that's sort of my point, all but 7-8 teams could conceivably go after him.

i'd personally like to see Wayne & Mathis go elsewhere (like NE plz).
I can't see Mathis being a fit at all unless they're real serious about switching to a 4-3.
Anderson & Carter are free agents.

I'd take Mathis over both.

At 245, Mathis weighs the same or less than the Pats' three starting linebackers. I'd have to think that unless they're going to really revamp their formation, Mathis would have to be an LB, and since he's played his entire career at DE thus far, I'm skeptical that he would transition quickly.

Mathis would be a better fit on a team like the Eagles or Bears.

i don't thinks its likely, but if Bill wants to bring in 4-3 DEs (like 255 lbs. Anderson & Carter), then why not get a tremendous talent like Mathis. Of course there are better fits, but I think you need to read up on the fact that for a number of teams, 3-4/4-3 are not that simple.

as for the Desean Jackson comment, I'd take Wayne over him, but if he (DJ) wants to come here and resurrect his career, I'm game for a 1-year deal.

i think the eagles trade him after giving him the franchise tag and then NE extends him. then the eagles will sign peyton and vjax and win the super bowl.

hey man its the offseason for us right now, i'm allowed to be delusional. plus, i'm pretty sure i put peyton as the #1 qb all time when we did that list years ago. he's like the shea weber of football right now.
