So I'm headed to the nearest foreign border
Vancouver seems like just my kind of town
'cause they don't need the kind of law and order
that tends to put a good man underground.

It's hilarious that Newt gets his ass kicked in FL and then his speech is dedicated to outlining his first day in office.

I love topical humor. I hope you can see this, because I'm doing it, as hard as I can.

Presidential Election threads just aren't the same without PunkDavid and g_v.

I believe the same. It would be more ballsy if you predicted Gingrich would found a colony on the moon by 2015.

Romney just put his foot in his mouth big time today. "I'm not concerned about the very poor." Even if that is what you truly believe, saying it is electoral death. I know the context in which he said it matters, but that is just playing into Obama's hands. Obama has to be laughing and thinking to himself "this is the best the Republicans could do?"

Well, that was the headline anyway. It was a poor moment from him from a PR perspective but he actually said that he wasn't worried about the very rich (they are doing just fine if it needs repair I'll fix it) or the very poor (we have a safety net) that the people in the middle were the ones struggling.

The gist of what he said is correct. The people in the middle are suffering the most right now struggling to get by without government assistance but I don't believe he gives a rats ass about the middle outside of getting thier vote. No politicians do, because the middle needs government less than the richest and the poorest people do.

The comment hurts Romney more because it makes him look that much more detached from the average person than he already did. He seems similar to John Kerry to me really if there were a democratic comparison image wise.

That 2008 Presidential Election thread was pretty much peak N&D.

thats how you do it. the best self promoters have no shame. you always act as if you are winning and that everyone else knows less than you. if he didn't act this way i'd say he isn't enough of a sheister to hold office.

Personally, I think a colony on the moon is exactly what this country needs to finally reclaim our rightful place in the world universe.
