Has anyone read his short story: "Cadbury, the Beaver Who Lacked"?
Wow. This story was like reading an article on my fucked up love life earlier this year. I can't imagine any guy who has been in a troubled relationship not completely relating to this story. Highly recommended!

I am currently rereading Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. This book is spectacular. The concept of 'Mercerism' and stuff is so odd it makes you wonder, even with the assistance from drugs, how Philip came up with it. So odd and it also got me thinking, like, you read a book like this and with all the dust around and the whole 'chickenhead' labeling of people based on intelligence and how it impairs their freedoms and you think 'man, that totally sucks.' but the characters seem to totally deal with it and not fight much against it. Now look at our world at this moment and at events which are impairing our freedoms (I don't really have to state examples if you need them, browse the 'News and Debate' forum) and just, overall, are putting invisible 'shackles' on all of us at this time and yet, even though a few of us make attempts to protest it, we all overall have chosen to live with it. I bet if our world at this time was really the setting for a novel, I bet any reader with a spot of intelligence would definitely say 'man, that sucks, thank god this is just a book.' Thoughts? (Sorry to be the 'Debbie Downer' of the thread.)
