The drummer for Mana, a horrible Mexican pop-rock group from the 90s, always reminded me of Dave A., in style, look and setup. Is it just me?

Mana is not horrible. I'm not a big fan, but they have some good songs. And they are still around and very big. They just played a concert here in Miami like a month ago. Shit was sold out.

Also, that drummer does not look like Dave A. at all. It's just you.

Eh, as far as I'm concerned ManĂ¡ is one of the worst bands to come out of Mexico, and that's saying a lot. I can't think of a single one of their songs that isn't absolutely horrible. They're still around making albums, yes, but it's all variations on their horribly tired formula. They have huge mass appeal, sure, but are we really prepared to say that's a surefire proof of quality?

The Dave A. comparison... at the very least, I'm sure you can see a similarity in their playing style, choice of gear and 90s soul patch.

Yeah most of their songs sound very similar. But to say it's horrible? Come on. I think the singer has a good voice and some songs have nice melodies. I don't care for it, but they have some nice songs. I've heard much worse that could be considered "horrible."

You're probably right. I've just been over-exposed to them and they really really get on my nerves. Have you noticed how many of their songs have the word "amor" in their chorus?!?

Haha I'm sure living in Argentina has made you grow to hate Mana. I get annoyed when people like music like fucking Mana and then they dont like Pearl Jam. Idiots ;)

....and you know Pearl Jam news is slow when we are talking about fucking Mana.

This guy is way better then Dave. He has a much cooler setup and can twirl his sticks. I don't recall ever seeing Dave A. twirl his sticks.
