I'm so envious of writer/director Jeff Nichols and this movie. I've been accumulating ideas in order to write my own "post post 9/11" movie, as one critic described it. Through my dreams and waking conscious, I've always been bombarded with thoughts and feelings of concussion blows. It's like a nervous condition. Like some violent storm is coming to wipe me and everyone out.
Are too many images of planes flying into buildings making me think about the apocalypse?
Anyway, I think Jeff Nichols has the pulse of the world, or at least America's. Good movie.

Interesting take, randyzz. It reminds me of another movie I've probably mentioned around here a few times before, I Live in Fear: Record of a Living Being, a 1955 movie by Akira Kurosawa. It's about a Japanese man who 'lives in fear' of another nuclear attack and doesn't understand why everyone else does not share his fear.
