Cheers man!
I think it's a fun listen. I'd love if putting these songs in a different context meant someone could appreciate them without the baggage of them being part of a record they think sucks. The songs, generally, are actually pretty strong. Some of them are great.

Yeah the contrast is weird. I dont like the record but Ive seen all the self titled songs live except army reserve, and they really do come into their own for the most part in that setting. Some of them sound great, Comatose especially. So ill look forward to hearing this. Itd be cool to have one of there for each album. Too bad theres no soundboards pre 00.
While im about it, you never see anyone mention or talk about that Berlin 96 checkpoint charlie show. That was a great gig. Must dig it up.

i posted this in some thread on pjchat awhile back, but in case you didn't see/know...
in the pj vs ames book, ed comments on the st paul 06 poster saying the man in the suit reminded him of the character in sleight of hand. so, i think one can safely assume that soh was played that night because he saw the poster and wanted to make that connection between the art and the show. pretty cool, i think.
spenno i had to update my winamp player and download some add-on shit to listen to this (i don't use itunes or an apple player). it better be good!

Yadayada, any of you dudes actually listen to this yet?
I put this on the headphones before I fell asleep last night and loved it. Your tracking decisions for the most part worked better than the album, but the real strength here is the performances you used. I like how you went out of your way to find the most wide open, layered guitar versions of most of these songs. I've never liked Severed Hand that much, but that could change with a few more listens of this mix.

Yeah, another great job spenno. The song versions are all fantastic. This comp is far more enjoyable than the album - the songs are just so much stronger performed live.
Good stuff.

Thanks for the feedback, gentlemen!
I definitely have a preference for versions with great guitar work but I'd like to think these are pretty strong versions across the board.
Some of the performances on the album definitely left a bit to be desired as well - it's weird, did they not rehearse some of these enough before recording them? They just feel a bit flat but they really came together on the tour, especially by the European leg.

good mix spenno. no real constructive feedback, tbh. personally not a fan of come back ending, but a lot of people seem to think the album should have ended on that, so... also, i probably would have put gone after unemployable. other than that pretty solid all the way through.

Pretty great, I think this will become my new Avocado. However, I did put the songs back in original order, which unfortunately makes some of these song transitions a little rough, like on comatose --> severed hand the crowd very abruptly stops then slowly starts back up again.

Heh. Who would have thought that would happen?

This is pretty good! As a fan of S/T, I try not to be too critical - after all, it is the one album that I keep going back to the most over the last 6 years. However, it's obvious that it is way too front loaded. It is interesting how moving Gone up into the first half makes a huge difference. At #9 it just kills the whole momentum of the album and there's not enough to help it recover (which is a shame for Army Reserve, which I consider a hidden gem of the second half). Back when S/T first came out I used to listen to the following remix, but Spenno, yours works pretty good too, and I agree this album deserves live treatment.
1. Severed Hand 2. Unemployable 3. Comatose 4. Life Wasted 5. Gone 6. Parachutes 7. Marker in the Sand 8. Wasted Reprise 9. Army Reserve 10. Come Back 11. Big Wave 12. Inside Job 13. World Wide Suicide
