fuck that first song is good. loving the production on the songs i've heard so far.
I've only heard 2 songs, but the production was definitely something that stood out to me as well. The drums just sound massive, and the vocals seemed to be a little more subdued after being front and center on Snakes for the Divine. Can't wait to sit down and give this one a proper listen!

yeah the vocals are buried on this one, about the same levels as the guitars. I love Kurt Ballou's production, he was a perfect choice for High on Fire.

Just finished my first proper listen. Just...wow. Fucking incredible album!
I love the production on this. The drum (especially) and bass sound great, and the riffs are thick and nasty. Pike's vocals are just right, and then I love how they strip Warhorn down to just his muddy warble to close out the record. Perfect.
Lots of nice twists on this one too. I really love the middle run from "Madness of an Architect" to "King of Days". Some really awesome soundscapes in there.
