I had to chuckle when I read this:

2002 Jay Fiedler (10) / Ray Lucas (6)
2001 Jay Fiedler (16)

My only regret is that guys like Pat White, Luke and Cade McCown/McNown aren't on this list since it's just guys who managed to start a game.

I always hoped Cleo Lemon would be the one.

I can't believe Gus Frerotte started 15 games...

It's been a while, so I may have remembered wrong, but wasn't Fiedler somewhat decent during his early years with the Dolphins? It seemed to all seriously fall apart after he started sucking.

It's not that he "started sucking," it's that the fans completely turned on him and Wanstache was never sold on him either. He was never great, but compared to everybody except Pennington '08 he looks like Drew Brees in hindsight. They were always trying to give the job to somebody else, the problem was the other person was even worse. That '04 team fell apart for a number of reasons, most notably Ricky's retirement at the start of training camp, coupled with other bad personal moves (a #2 for Feely, a #3 for Lamar Gordon)

Here are their records just for fun.

Jay Fiedler (2000-2004): Went 36-23 as a starter, including 21-10 during the 2000 and 2001 seasons.

Damon Huard (2000): Won his lone start in the 2000 season, replacing an injured Fiedler.

Ray Lucas (2002): Went 2-4 in replacing Fiedler for a stretch of the 2002 campaign.

Brian Griese (2003): 3-2 record in five starts, while Fiedler went 7-4 in the other 11 games.

A.J. Feeley (2004): 3-5 record in eight games as Dolphins finished 4-12 overall.

Sage Rosenfels (2004-2005): Started one game in each of those years, losing both.

Gus Frerotte (2005): Went 9-6 to highlight Nick Saban's first season as Dolphins coach.

Daunte Culpepper (2006): Went 1-3 before Dolphins shut him down for season with knee problems.

Joey Harrington (2006): Replaced Culpepper, going 5-6 in 11 games.

Cleo Lemon (2006): Lost his lone start, the season finale at Indianapolis.

For the record, here are my favorite and least favorite memories from that horrid list:
--Least Favorite: Frerotte tearing up the Broncos on opening week of 2005. The only explanation on how the 13-3 Broncos weren't 14-2 that year was because they always suck in Florida.
--Favorite: Harrington getting booed by Lions fans on Thanksgiving in the "Piano Man" incident, only to have a career game in tearing apart his former team.

I still truly believe that Harrington could have been a good QB, but a shitty system, a coach that didn't want him, and a short sighted fan base ruined him.

the fact that matt moore may be the 2nd best qb on that list (behind pennington) is scary

i liked fiedler and all, but lets face it.. his record is so good because ricky williams was in the backfield

He did, but he didn't start that game.

Ricky wasn't a Dolphin until 2002.

Yeah. It was all about that defense. Beastly.

So Tannehill had a hell of a pro day. Think the Dolphins will use that number 8 pick for him?

I'm on Chad's side. That lady is fucking insane. Though he's an idiot for marrying her, of course.

philbin just said what i was figuring all along.. chad was cut more so because he didnt fit in with the offense.. its a very young and fast wr group, running a very fast paced offense.... im sure he was lookin for any given reason to give him the boot

also i hear word on the street is he may be charged with a felony.. n yea, if he did it, good for him.. if not.. thats what you get for marrying a money hungry reality star scumbag

in good news, got to watch the replay of the game today, and tannehill looked great.. i realize he was playin in the second half, but i like how he stays strong in the pocket and i think he throws a really nice ball.. like the offensive scheme in general so far..
