so I have been not smoking for I dunno almost two days but I was using other bogus quit shit yesterday. technically today is the first day with no nicotine.
I'm literally losing my shit, like I cannot even speak
what should I expect and what are some tips to get through this difficult time?
what's your reason for quitting? unless you've had a cancer scare already, your own health probably isn't enough because you're too young to really fear death. i was a smoker for 7 years and probably averaged half a pack a day. i quit when my wife got pregnant. that kid turns 5 this friday. my opinion is you need something beyond yourself to quit. that could even be, like if you're single, you can convince yourself that smoking is a major reason why. or maybe you can think of something you can't afford. every day you don't smoke, put the $5 in a jar toward that thing, so it's not just about smoking.
stay strong, man, after a week the physical stuff eases up a lot. after two, it's completely a mental game. just don't let yourself off by saying now is a tough time to quit; it's always a tough time to quit.

The physical withdrawl is from the nicotine - try soaking in a bath of epsom salts - it will draw a lot of the nicotine out of your system and help with the physical discomforts of quitting smoking.
For the mental addiction- if you've stopped completely but you relapse and start smoking regularly- or more than one in a day etc- you could try cutting out the cigarette you enjoy the most in your day- like maybe if you like to have one after you eat or if you're drinking- don't allow yourself that one and see if that helps reduce the compulsion to light up. Also, the desire to smoke is most intense for about 10 minutes after you first think of smoking- so if you can tell yourself to wait before lighting one up- the desire should have lessened and you can tell yourself to continue waiting to light one- basically I'd think if you can keep the number of cigarettes you smoke down to one or two in a day (like as a reward at the end of a day for not smoking all day) then you're in pretty good shape. I think it's more about how smoking is one of those habits that we generally don't think about - we just do it because, you know, it's waht you do- so think more about why you want one before you light one, and see if that helps you wait until the end of the day etc. Hope that helps, dev.

If u are not sick of it and pisst about what it means in everyway, then u cant quitte. U will go back again. U need, first than all, want to get your will back and get strong enough to do what u want to do in your life.No matter what! After that, you will quitte cause u want and not cause is bad for your health and all that shitty speech.

i've failed several times quitting smoking. it's fucking hard a drug to kick. what worked the best while it lasted for me was: eating celery, drink a lot of water, sing, scream, do sports.

This is why I always preferred non-mental brands.

This is why I always preferred metal band-aids.

Fresh air and walking helped best for my cravings. Its not enough to help me quit though.
