I hit it about as well as I can yesterday (off the tee anyway), and still couldn't break 80. Couldn't make a birdie. Left an easy 7 footer for birdie on 17 short. Pathetic.
Still, like the way I'm hitting it. Custom-fit my irons and love the feel of them overall even if I still hit a few really squirrely ones from not being used to them.
Also, i had never played the course before, which is usually worth a few shots. All in all, pleased with the direction its headed.

Finally getting my irons figured out. Still can't hit the ball very far but I minimize my mistakes around the green. I've been shooting in the lower 40s and upper 30s the past two months. Playing the best I've ever played.
The courses around here are so dry. I wonder what condition they will be in around the fall if the weather continues.

Played Grayhawk yesterday morning. In great shape considering how hot and drty it is and has been. They must put a ton of water on that course.
Hit the ball well, made a ton of stupid mistakes, shot 79. Sam as it ever was. Can't really blame lack of practice for these issues anymore. Just inconsistent.
Did make a nice eagle on 14, God drive then absolutely hit a 3-wood as good as I can hit it and it finished about 7 feet below the hole. Rolled it home. Had been a while. Felt damn good.
