24 Hour Revenge Therapy is my favorite punk rock record of the 90's. Its been helping me train for a marathon...

I always though Dear You got too much hate, I really like that album as well. The whole indie cred/ backlash after signing to a major thing always had more to do with the hate that record got than the more polished sound.....

Here's something cool from the band's wiki page:

Schwarzenbach's vocals on "Kiss the Bottle" are mottled and choked due to a polyp he had developed on his throat, which had been causing him to lose his voice onstage.[4][11] As the band drove across the United States to fly from New York City to begin a European tour, he began to suffer serious vocal problems.[4] Though the condition caused him great pain while singing, threatened his voice, and was potentially fatal should the polyp burst or lodge in his throat, the band decided to do the European tour anyway.[4] "That period seemed really arduous for me because I was so physically challenged by singing", recalls Schwarzenbach, "Every day was full of dread, having to stand up there and see what would happen. But it was too late. We had to play or else we would have bankrupted our friends."[4] By the time the band reached Ireland, Schwarzenbach's condition had worsened and the tour was put on hold while he had surgery to remove the polyp.[4] The tour resumed a week later.[4]

And speaking of Kiss the Bottle, i've always thought Lucero's take was one of the best cover's i've ever heard...
