I'm the first Chamberlin vote! Yay!
7/17/91 is seriously my favorite Ten-era bootleg, and mostly because of him. The swing of Jack, the fills of Dave, and the power of MC all rolled in to one.

I'm listening to this now.
Matt Chamberlain should play drums for Pearl Jam again. He's killing it.
It doesn't look there's any YouTube vids of his time in the band, except for the official Alive video. That's a shame.
My vote goes to Matt Cameron though, it is difficult to deny that Dave A. And Jack were really great in the band too. Maybe if Dave A. or Jack had stay longer could have been consider the best.

Yeah.
I think Dave was perfect for what the band were doing at the time and then Jack came along and took them places they couldn't have gone with anyone else. Really, those are the only two guys who should be in the conversation for "the definitive Pearl Jam drummer".

if that's what we're specifically after here, then yes, there can only be two. as much as i'm not a fan of his style, dave a. was inextricable from their sound for about 3-4 years. he actually did a really nice job on vitalogy which, looking back, he could have completely fucked up.

I think that's as far as we're going to get. I'm happy to compromise on this but it's gonna take compromise from all of us. But hey, that's what relationship is all about: compromise.
