excellent actresses, all.
I especially liked Denzel Washington, Will Smith and Jonny Depp in The Help - what stand out performances.

Gillian Anderson, probably. It takes talent to play roles as diverse as Dana Scully and Miss Havisham with equal conviction. Props also go to Helena Bonham Carter (for her acting, but also for her championing of the female role) and Tilda Swinton.

I've never said 'props' before, I think I'm listening to too much Beastie Boys.
