It'll be nice if he can actually make Washington competitive again in the NFC East. Manning, Vick, Romo, and Griffin? Maybe he can restore that prominence to the division that's waned over the last few years as the AFC teams have developed and caught up.

Yeah, it's basically the Cowturds and Redskins holding things back. The last few years, Philly and NY have been play-off / super bowl teams.
I think we'll see noticeable improvements with the Redskins, but I'm not ready to say they'll be good. Coming off the Zorn era, plus 2 losing seasons with Shanny, my expectations are about as low as ever. If the team finishes 8-8, I'd have to call it a success at this point. The 2013 season is when I expect this team to jump to the 10-6 / 11-5 range.
Reviewing this years schedule, the back half is brutal. 5 of the last 7 games are division ones, all in November / December, which is typically when the Redskins falter the most. Who knows though, it's nearly impossible to know at this point. Maybe the Redskins will be the surprise team of the NFL in 2012.
On a side note, the 80th anniversary uniforms are being unveiled tomorrow.

I loved how when Shanny benched McNabb, people in the press called him racist, then McNabb goes to the Vikings and completely sucks. Then the same people try to call him out again for drafting Cousins. Ridiculous.

Oh yeah. John Beck's gone as of several weeks ago. Awesome. Now if we can just blindfold Rexy and have him step up to the plank maybe we can find our way to smoother sailing.

I'm hoping they give Cousins a lot of reps this summer. The way I see it, they may as well. Rex already knows the system / terminology well enough; execution is the problem. Cousins can go through the exact same stuff Griffen does and the learn together. I heard they also bunked for mini-camp, and will do so for fall camp. I think this is a great idea to bring them up through the ranks together, after all, the back-up is only one play away from playing. I'm thinking both will do well, with Griffen just being the much larger talent. Hopefully Cousins proves to be a very reliable QB / team player / student, and in a few years he's the Redskins "Matt Flynn" type of guy. If that happens, the Redskins can be in a good position to get some draft picks or a get a good trade out of him.

Nice to hear that Shanny's openly stated they'll mold the offense around Griffin's strengths, given that McNabb had bashed their inflexibility with him. Could just be PR spin, but its still nice to hear that Mike and Kyle are willing to bend for the betterment of the team.

I'll probably go to the Redskins-Eagles game in DC.
