I don't really know where it's coming from but there are rumors of Pearl Jam playing Atlantic Canada this summer. I think if anything it would most likely be opening for Bruce Springsteen in Moncton, New Brunswick on August 26th. It would make sense for a maritime date as they are travelling to and from Europe and it is closer to ship out of eastern Canada.

I heard from a friend that works at the TD Garden in Boston that he remembers seeing them on the schedule for September. Just doesn't remember the exact date
Im hearing about a show in Charleston and Im hearing a good chance PJ will open for Bruce in Moncton. Apparently ticket sales for the Bruce show have been very slow. Word is that the Nickleback show there is outselling the Bruce show 4-1. PJ would be brought along to help up ticket sales.

the problem with Springsteen shows is that you have to get a bank approved loan to afford the tickets, I dont think the lack of a good opening act has anything to do with it.

Doesn't surprise me that ticket sales are slow. In the past (stones, ac/dc, u2) people bought up tickets with the intention of making a quick buck only to forget that the concert site holds over 60000 and end up eating the tickets or selling at a discount.

Where have you heard this?
I imagine having lots of choice for summer concerts in Moncton and surrounding areas are splitting the vote so to speak, plus Bruce isn't going to sell out so people can wait until the last minute to buy tickets/walkups and the tickets are more expensive than U2 was in Moncton last summer.
I'd hope PJ would play an hour long opening set like they did for the Stones.
