I always hold it and go back to sleep. This way, when I wake up for good and go to the bathroom, I go for like 3 minutes straight and it makes me feel manly.

I could see the issue if we were talking about, say, 20 minutes, but an hour? Get up, take a piss, and then go back to sleep for 55 minutes.

Yeah, an hour is solid "fall back asleep" territory. It's those last few minutes that are tough.
