What I don't get is why he thinks Deron Williams would be one of the 6 players you would consider keeping. I don't think a guy has ever become more overrated for two straight years based simply on the fact that he demanded a trade out of one place and won't sign a long term deal in his new home so his impending free agency has people all riled up. I mean is there anybody out there who would take Williams over Rondo or Westrbook?
I probably take Deron over Westbrook. Deron is the most complete PG out of the three actually.

I want to agree with this, but Rondo certainly has proven to be a beast.

You're all wrong. Rubio is the best.

I mean Westbook is a PG in name only, there are plenty of "more complete" PG's than him all over the league. I think he's basically the same player as Derrick Rose.

Rondo has also proven that he can get it done in the post-season. In fact, I think he plays better in the post-season.
I love when players elevate their games when it counts the most.
Derrick Rose over Westbrook all day, and i'm not just saying that as a homer....
I'd take healthy Rose, too. But I don't think they're very far apart.

They are both hybrid players but Rose is much closer to what an efficient PG should be. Didn't Rusty lead the league in turnovers this year or was that the Thunder as a whole? He's very explosive but i'd take the guy who is a more willing passer and facilitator to run my team...

I hope he ends up on some shithole team that maxes out as a 7 seed every year. You know, like Carmelo.
That could totally happen, and he could end up waiving at Carmelo while he's doing it. Nets are in talks with the Hawks right now for Joe Johnson!
So it could be Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Dwight Howard.... in the 7th slot coming soon.
Sorry Jigga man, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN, Hawks agree in principal to send Joe Johnson to the Nets as long as Deron Williams also stays for a bunch of expiring contracts and a pick.
Congrats Nets, you get an excellent basketball player in Joe Johnson (just don't expect to win anything)
I guarantee the Nets will make the playoffs every year and Joe will score a ton of points..... and if you don't expect too much from Joe, you very well could get to the 2nd round of the playoffs.
I had a good laugh this morning when Mike and Mike agreed that Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, and Dwight Howard would make the Nets the second best team in the East.

It's funny isn't it. I just need the 11th to get here so the trade can be finalized and the Russian Billionare is on the hook for Joe Johnson's contract.
People in Atlanta are extatic today. Danny Ferry is a Jedi. He got rid of Joe's contract, he got rid of Marvin Williams awfulness for Devin Harris.
