They shot a few scenes at my friend's office in Cary, NC this week. This is the parking lot.

Kingsley would be cool.

On the other hand, Iron Man and Thor have been the funnest ones yet, and they just kind of compartmentalized the villain to the point of barely being a part of the story. Two hours of watching Robert Downey adore himself is way more entertaining than any ten minutes spent pretending like you're wondering what they'll do about Loki.

i'll just be happy if it isnt a rehash of the first two movies: jealous colleagues build robot (or robots) to fight Iron Man (or Iron Men). And stop with the new suits already. nobody gives a shit.

The new suits are totally critical, mother fucker! :x Jesus, I count 33 different armors in the wikipedia entry, including 3 specifically for "busting" other Avengers.

He's probably talking about the Marvel-produced movies rather than just any movie based on a Marvel character.

Welp, if all the tweets from Comic-Con are correct, you're getting your wish, looks like.

Nope. The film rights to the Marvel characters are spread across a few different studios-- Fox owns the rights to the X-Men property, Sony owns Spider-Man, etc. Marvel Studios is trying to reclaim rights to their characters, which they were able to secure for Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, etc... which allowed for those movies to be made the way they were (sharing a common continuity and tone).

ahh, totally correct about the villains then, which do seem like total afterthoughts in each film. Now that all the origin stories are out of the way maybe there is more room to develop them, although Iron Man II was, if anything, a step back in the villain department

The rouge galleries for the members of the Avengers are somewhat wanting. Most of the best Marvel villains belong to Spidey, FF or The X-men. If DC could ever figure out how to film a Justice League movie they'd have villains out the ying yang to choose from.
