I've had a link up in my signature for a few days, and have been hocking it on Facebook for about a week now, but I wanted to make an official thread for the book I've just published. It's called "Mystery Pill: Essays on Music and Childhood," and is pretty much exactly what it says. Anyone who's enjoyed the more autobiographical type entries on my blog should hopefully dig it. More information about the book, as well as avenues for ordering, Facebook liking, etc., is available in the links below:
Any and all support is appreciated as we try to drum up support, publicity, sales, etc. for this project. Thanks for having a look; I know message board spamming is obnoxious so I'll try to keep excessive hocking to a minimum.

Wow, I read a few pages on the amazon "look inside" feature. That was great, very well-written, and funny.
...it's bad enough being sent to your room, but then hearing that you can't come out even if Bon Jovi comes over must have been tramatic for you!
reading just the first few paragraphs definitely wants to make you read more....that's not always an easy thing for a writer to accomplish.... Pulling off humor without being corny---also not easy. good job!

First of all, congrats, man! That's super exciting. Good on ya.
Secondly, I'll be picking up a copy shortly. Probably a Kindle version. But I wanted to make sure it doesn't affect you more one way or the other how I purchase it. Does it?
Actually, I probably net a tiny bit more if you order it off my website, but it also requires more work from me. Either way it's a fairly negligible difference. An Amazon hard copy sale is the least lucrative, but there are also advantages to boosting your sales on Amazon. Really anything is appreciated.
Look at it this way, Skitch--if you buy the book and the house situation goes south due to financial issues, then you might get to experience actual life on the street. Really, any way you cut this, you win.

The House situation is.... bizarre.
