I saw that Super Furry Animals have a new album coming out on May 10, which reminded me that I wanted to look into some of their older stuff. I really liked Phantom Power, but didn't know how any of their other albums rated. Anyone have any suggestions on where I should start?

it's.......interesting.

These guys definitely are interesting...ton of shit going on in their songs. Haven't given them much of a chance, but they sound pretty cool.

Talk about them so I listen to them more.

I haven't checked out their last album, as it seemed like they were declining up to that point.

However, every album up to and including Rings is fantastic. Even Mwng is really cool to listen to. Not sure it gets better than Radiator, for my tastes...Hermann loves Pauline, Pauline loves Hermann. They make love, and give birth to a little German, and all that.

...oh, and Phantom Power is a pretty good record, too. I still keep Venus and Serena on my IPod pretty much all the time.

Guerrilla sounded ridiculously full and interesting this morning. I see that Radiator has the most acclaim.

Guerrila is stellar, too. For a while, it was my favorite. I know that Rings is considered a disappointment by a lot of fans...or I remember that it was way back when it came out....but I see Radiator/Guerrila/Rings to be almost as good a run as any band ever hopes to have.
