Seriously getting pissed off at this channel. On First Take today, again they lead with Jets. Not Felix' perfect game, not Melky's suspension, not even the Cowboys losing Whitten. The FUCKING JETS.
According to ESPN baseball season ends the day NFL training camps open.

On Mike & Mike this morning, they mentioned a tweet that complained of all of the coverage that the network was giving to the Jets (even having Sal Palintonio stationed at their camp). Whoever was filling in for Mike & Mike (they were off, can you believe it?) said that ESPN was only giving people what they want. It seems to me like they're giving people what they want people to want. Either way, it's pretty ridiculous.

That's funny to me, because no one gives a shit about the Jets it's one of the singularly most boring teams in the league interms of actual football play, they are hoping the random passers by will stick around to hear about Tebow. ESPN doesn't even care about sports fans anymore they are catering to the Good Morning America crowd.

Unfortunately, I'm guessing that there are a lot of factors involved with concerning ol' Timothy Tebow. Like money and marketing. For all we know there are companies or corporations that pay ESPN to talk about Tebow. And sadly, there are a significant number of people that care about the guy and every move he makes. We just don't hear about them. I'm talking about the Jesus Camp. They admire the guy to the point of idiolization and they could care less whether he can throw an on target pass.
But I will say that I enjoy NFL LIVE. They talk about everyone. I thoroughly enjoy that show.

I think I've said this before, but other than, you know, actual games, the only program on ESPN that I ever watch start to finish is College GameDay. The only other ones I can think of are the tail ends of Monday Night Countdown (usually for C'mon Man!), and parts of the NFL Draft, which they have to compete with NFLN with for my attention.

Same here, I cancelled my NFLN after the season but I miss watching Mayock on the draft coverage. ESPN just becomes almost a caricature at times. NFL matchup is probably my favorite ESPN show that isn't college gameday. I like Mort and most of the radio stuff but College Gameday is one of my favorites. Maybe it's just that it's Saturday and it's cool outside and you can wakeup eat breakfast and get ready for fantastic matchups but I've loved this program for years. I like that it's on campus. I like that it's outside. It just has a special feel to it.

Next to Stephen A Smith, Chris Berman and Neal Everett, that might be the absolute worst thing about ESPN.

So on a day like today when ESPN wants to be serious in reporting about the refs and what happened last night, they have Snoop Lion aka Snoop Dogg making the rounds on the commentary shows.
Keepin' it real.

He never seems to have anything meaningful to say, and like Pete noted, he's very loud and brash. He's the perfect type of sports anchor for the MNF crowd. The problem here is that the MNF crowd is full of meat heads.
