OK, I watched the trailer to make a more informed opinion and it really does look like shit. 15 year olds with such insight and wardrobe budgets. "you get the love you think you deserve." please. it even has the token gay friend and the wild child with the pixie haircut. stab me now. For any of you that want an honest coming of age story... go watch Stand By Me, or Say Anything or Almost Famous.

1. You get to play with Jakob Dylan. 2. You probably get to meet Bob Dylan. 3. You get to be another 90s revivalist band. 4. This joke's really run it's course, huh?

I enjoyed it, scans.
And now we all know Jack Irons is in the band. Which is great because I always wished success and happiness for him. And the Wallflowers. And now I might get both simultaneously.

Saw this today. Pretty bad movie. There are a few genuinely touching, powerful scenes, especially towards the end. But it's just so awkwardly directed. The whole thing is a mess that barely holds together. And yeah, the dialogue (which I'm assuming is taken straight from the book) is pretty bad. Emma Watson is pretty horrible. She has 0 screen presence or charisma.
The lead actor was pretty good, suitably pathetic and troubled. The actor who played the gay friend was really good too. Nick Braun's two little moments near the start were great, the only parts of the movie that made me laugh out loud.
