This might be asking too much, but I would like them to do a tour of the United States. They now play Berlin 5 times for every time they play a major US city.

It's not as simple as that though. And that's quite a cynical take on it. If these sort of shows/tours were happening in the US every year, there wouldn't be any complaints from you guys.
wrong. most fans hate festivals (i do) and don't see pearl jam when they play in US festivals.
They could play in your yard and youd complain about them wrecking your lawn.
Yeah but:

I live in a major US city and we've gotten 2 shows, only one of which was a public show (the other was a benefit in a much smaller venue with more expensive tickets) in the last 10 years.
They also haven't played their hometown since 2009.
You can imagine why some American PJ fans might be annoyed.

I completely understand, I was just having a laugh with G2T. My towns gone 6 years between shows at the longest. It sucks. I do wonder about the lack of US shows/tours. It's odd. Can't think of any reason for it.

Could it be tax reasons? Maybe they (PJ and Curtis) have a cap on US earnings so they only average 20 max shows in the US. They could have some kind of off shore deal for their non US shows. I know they do a whole lot of charity work which also serves as a tax deduction. That email about their carbon footprint back in 2009 was double serving. It's not only a good charitable act, but it reduces their tax and additionally is great press.
Not saying this is a reason, merely a possibility...
Me too my friend....i waited for 15 years to see them and in the last 6 years i saw them 6 times, so them coming back its just good news. Its funny to hear you guys who have seen the band like 70 times complaint about this...about them not playing in the states...chill out they will play there so you can bitch about the show.

It's not like everyone has seen them 70 times. If you don't have the possibility to go to another state to see them and you live in, let's say Phoenix, which is a major city, you've been pretty much screwed since ... 2000. That's 12 years. That's more than double the band's age. Unless you can drive 500km to a show. Whereas, I live in an area where I've had since 2006 12 shows in a 200km radius. And Berlin isn't even part of that. I'm not complaining of course, but I can perfectly understand people's frustration.

I've seen them 7 times and am lucky to have seen that many. Angus is right about this - in the past 6 years they've played 4 shows within 300 km of here. The Gorge Amphitheater, which is supposed to be a Portland / Seattle / Spokane venue, is 420 km from here.
It's not like most Americans can just hop on a train / short flight and see 10 shows on a tour. Only the crazies with a lot of money who live in the Northeastern United States can do that. If you live anywhere else in the US other than Chicago, Boston, New York or Philadelphia you've gotten maybe 4-5 shows since 2000, and in some cases many less.
