Never mind:
Rolling Stones fans take note: the Rock legends' new single, "Rough Justice," will arrive at radio stations around the world tomorrow, July 22. The Stones' as-yet-untitled new album will land in stores on September 6 and the band will embark on a world tour beginning in Boston on August 21. As previously reported, some potential new songs that could make the cut for the album include "Oh No, Not You Again," "Neo-Con," "This House Is Empty Without You" and "Look What The Cat Dragged In."
Good choice for a single, I think.

The lyrics aren't great but this sounds pretty good. The guitar sounds like they came up with a classic Stonesy riff and then decided to play it backwards. Nice.
Given that this sounded pretty much exactly how I expected it to sound, I would say I probably enjoyed it about exactly as much as I expected to enjoy it.

I've heard a few people make similar comments. What's the x factor? This just sounds like a run-of-the-mill Stones rocker to me.
Yeah, I enjoy the song, but I like the Rolling Stones. And it sounds like the Rolling Stones setting out to sound just like the Rolling Stones. Or Jet.

Oh spenno, sometimes I just don't understand you.
Have you at least given some songs from their 1966 to 1972 output a fair shake? I mean, there has to be a few songs during that stretch that you at least kinda like, right?

The production is quite modern sounding, especially those drums. Maybe it's cause doesn't sound like a bunch of 60 year olds.
That's pretty much my take. It sounds edgier, and even though it's not breaking new ground or anything, it does have a modern sound. It actually has that kinda sound where I think it will still sound good years from now. Unlike say their 80's stuff which just sounds horribly dated.
