Vjax, Eric Wright and Dan Orlovsky so far, and Carl Nicks has been in Tampa since about midnight, he really needs to not leave with out a contract

not sure why you'd be excited about anything else.

definitely Nicks and Vjax are the players to get excited about, but just players being signed at all is an exciting thing for a bucs fan these days, much different then this undrafted free agent or that undrafted free agent.

sounds like for the most part the FA craziness is over for the Bucs, though they were talking heavily with Curtis Loftin early on and seemed like that would be another big signing, but he apparently wanted around 10 million a year, but if he was to drop the price tag a bit, i would still like to see them add a starting quality linebacker before the draft.

Bucs released Faine today. I assume they are moving Zuttah to center since Nicks and Joseph will be the guards and Trueblood and Penn at tackle. Has Zuttah played center before? Position changes in the pros always worry me.

over the last 2 seasons he has filled in for just about everyone on the line, but he played a lot of center with Faine being hurt a lot the last 2 years. he needs to get better at center, but he shows signs of being good, and he has his old college coach back to try and get the most out of him. but if he doesnt work out too well, he only signed a 4 or 5 year contract for less then 20 mill total, they can always draft someone next year if they need to.

Just when I want to give up on Freeman and hope they get someone new next year, he drops 425 and 2TD's.

It's like the offense and defense can't put it together at the same time. Ugh.

i still feel that unless there is a large improvement in Freeman with all the weapons he now has to work with then they will at the very least draft a 3rd or 4th round QB to possibly develop, and if he crashes and burns at the end of the season then they will be forced to draft a 1st or 2nd rounder, but either way, unless he finishes with stats along the lines of 60 to 65% completions, 4500 yards, 30 to 35 tds with less then 15 tds then there will be a qb drafted next year.

and as far as this past week, he got a lot of help from vjax, he was still throwing some ugly balls that managed to still get caught

Dear college football coaches of the world, that whole man up try to force it in from 2 yards out 4 strait times, is a fucking stupid plan, you might want to not do that anymore.

They can't catch Vincent Jackson all day, so you try to run it 3 times up the gut and then a QB naked boot. Yeah, that was stupid.

That was so sweet to watch, for obvious reasons. Then again, I have to hope that he doesn't go apeshit on the Broncos in a few weeks.

Many thanks for disposing of all three division rivals. It's a shame we'll have to be enemies in a few weeks.

I'm going to the Panthers/Bucs game next weekend. A little worried about that one.

Freeman's 2nd interception yesterday happened right in front of where we were sitting. I'm happy they won, loved the last second drive to force overtime, but man those two interceptions were so horribly thrown and avoidable. Still not buying in to the fact that he is the QB of the future Bucs.

the 2nd one was totally because of the first one, throwing that pick 6 killed the confidence he had built over the last few weeks, but somehow the coaching staff or just josh himself managed to shake it off and get back to playing with the confidence in the last 5 minutes or so. I think we have now seen the key to Freeman being a good QB, he needs to have confidence in himself and the players around him and i think that is the main thing the coaching staff has to work with him on, when he played with confidence and no fear he plays like he did on that last drive.

im with you though, still dont think its set in stone that he will be the QB of the future, but he has shows flashes 2 years ago and most of this year as well. i will still not be shocked if they draft a developmental kinda QB this year in the 4th or 5th round

I don't think Freeman is the answer. Today was just plain horrible.

I agree. At this point in his career he should be more consistent on his performance.
