I've got Life's Rich Pageant on right now and I've been having a lot of fun with all of the little easter eggs on the sleeve. A lot of what Radiohead does in their liner notes is probably a direct descendant of REM's fun little IRS-label LP packaging. Yet another thing I love about those early records.

when did that come out?
Earlier this month. There's not much information to be found on the internet. I'm not even sure how wide of a release it had or what format you can find it on.

last i read it was lp only, 2000 copies. i ordered on amazon, but the ship date keeps getting pushed back so i'm not confident it will ever come from them. i was at the local shop on monday and they had it so i picked it up. if i get the amazon copy maybe i'll ask here if anybody wants it. soundstagedirect has it for $22 and someone on discogs is selling for $25.

I ordered this one through my local record shop. It's a fun and loose record..with some great guest appearances by Mike Mills, Corin Tucker and Lenny Kaye...
Some of these tracks could have been great REM tracks, gosh..I miss that band..but I if Peter Buck releases a record like this everyone once in a while you don't hear me complaining. But I expect more from a Mike Mills solo record..
