confused by the title? well the next X-men movie due out in a couple years, is titled Days of Futures Past...
Which means X-men in the future, a world torn apart by the Sentinals, sending someone back in time to tell the x-men of the past, what they did wrong...
Patrick Stewart has already hinted hes involved... Hugh Jackman is getting his claws sharp filming "The Wolverine" right now (which is said to take place AFTER X-3, so could possibly have a story line that leads us to X-4/First Class 2/ DAYS OF FUTURES PAST) Iceman and Rogue had said they signed on for a 4th movie before X-3 was even done.
and of course, the cast of First Class are all signed on for a 2nd movie
AND, the real kicker, Mark Millar has signed on to help write/over see the script in some sort.
THIS, could be FREAKING AWESOME!
BUT, Fox is still involved

found this last night... they were to start shooting soon? I thought? so it would almost have to be Singer to direct now. Or someone else with a vast background of the characters/story/script thats already in place...

Bryan Singer’s Directing ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ Now
Despite doing a boob-diamondly awesome job with the rushed-to-production X-Men: First Class, director Matthew Vaughn has walked from the sequel, X-Men: Days Of Future Past, Is That Hitting The Spot, Nerds? Yeah, You Like That White-Walled Wolverine Shit, Sluts, which apparently forced Fox to drive a bucket of cash up to Bryan Singer‘s door and beg him to direct. Which he did presumably after they forced Michael Bay to wash his Ferrari because girlfriends be lookin’ out for their girls. Deadline reports:
Singer launched the X-Men feature franchise with the first two superb films and has been a guiding influence in this spinoff by writing the treatment and producing. Fox already has the script for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and set to return is Fox’s First Class cast that includes Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawrence. The studio hopes to make the July 18, 2014 release date it set for the sequel.

hahaha anyway back to topic boys
The Wolverine (just about done shooting) is getting some good hype (probably should have its own thread at some point) but apparently Famke flew in for a Jean Grey cameo... no word yet, if its simply Wolverine dreaming of his fav red head? or if its going to be some sort of teaser scene, Jeans still alive lead in to the Days of Futures Past movie
as a few said... this COULD be freaking awesome...
but it also could be a bunch of suits at Fox trying to pull off what Marvel has done with the Avengers... but being Fox... will just turn this into a clusterfuck of mutants

Hugh Jackman’s in ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ Now
Adding even more credence to the theory that Bryan Singer is just gonna act like no other X-Men movies were made after X2, Hugh Jackman is joining the cast of X-Men: Days Of Future Past alongside Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen which was pretty much obvious to anyone even remotely familiar with the iconic cover to the classic Chris Claremont storyline. THR reports:
Seeds of a tie-in between the trilogies were sown when Jackman memorably cameoed as Wolverine in First Class. The fanboy world began speculating about Jackman’s possible return once news broke that Stewart and McKellen were returning. Jackman recently wrapped production on The Wolverine, a sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
