i was a tom collins guy for a while but after 4 or 5, you feel like you're destroying your stomach lining.

i've been into vodka lately, mainly because i'm out of whiskey. it's a mellower buzz anyway. enjoying a "summer hummer" right now.

Not much of a cocktail guy unless im "out on the town". Its a good way to save some money and get the buzz going quick. I have a love hate relationship with whiskey. Shit hurts but the buzz works great.

That being said....I do enjoy a good gin and tonic. Great summer drink. If I feel I am "beer'd out" then this is a good way to work a buzz. Couple g & t's and only 3 beers instead of 8 beers.

Hendricks is also excellent.

I think the gin & tonic might be my favorite cocktail, but I want to see what other cocktails I can concoct with gin.

Have you tried ginger ale like I recommended? Its divine.

Sorry Skitch, but I did not care for this at all.

Ginger beer + bourbon. Done.

Splash of Sprite if you want.

This was a hit the other night:

1 part cider concentrate
2 parts JB Red Stag

Pour over ice and garnish with a twist

I'm not too crazy about using the Red Stag normally, but the cinnamon and spice mixes well with apple around the holidays.

A friend talked me into trying a gingerbread martini the other night. Don't do it.

The bartender at the restaurant that I work at comes up with that sort of shit all the time. He's also fond of naming everything the "something something smash." I level with the guests most of the time and they end up ordering classic drinks made with better liquor than they normally drink instead.

I would double your tip for that kind of honesty, friend.
