Anyone tried Dogfish's Positive Contact or Green Flash's Palate Wrecker?
maybe if you read this thread you created you would have read my high regards for said palate wrecker
This thread is 321 pages long. B probably stopped recommending beer 320 pages ago.
Also ... I didn't start it.
oh ya, I apologize..anyway, palate wrecker is good stuff
The guy at Total Wine was unclear. They do not have it. I wasn't clear if they don't have it ANYMORE or they don't have it YET or they don't have it EVER. He told me they sold out of Positive Contact, so I guess he'd have told me if it was the first.
I think I'll try some other stuff on that list.
Westbrook Covert Hops Hebrew Hop Manna - They did have that at Total Wine, but I hadn't checked the whole list. Sixpoint Resin Stone/Iron First Pillow Mint at the Ritz Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast
the sixpoint resin is a very good double ipa too..that brewery makes outstanding beers. I wish they would come out here

I always come close to getting smug when I learn that there are beers we get in Texas, like Six-Point, or Alaskan Brewing Co., that other parts of the country don't get. Then I remember that we don't get Bell's, and I humbly refrain from bragging about anything beer-related.

That's one I've yet to try. Can anyone help me in that regard? I'll gladly mail a bottle of Lone Star for your troubles...

I have one bomber of Hop Manna left in my fridge, will probably have it before the next snow. I really wasn't too hip on the Resin, had it on IPA day actually. Should it be on tap again I'll give it a taste but not a full glass. Can't recall what I had at the Garden last year from SixPoint but it was better than the Resin though it was St. Patty's Day eve.
Debating whether or not to pick up a pack of Bourbon County Stout on the way home.

Tell me a little bit about this beer's release history.
can't tell you much about the history. In the san fran area its abundant and can be had at most pubs for aroune $5 a pint..however outside of SF such as down here in the LA area its normally $7-8 per pint..The places that do sell it by the bottle dont even put it on the shelves..You have to go out of your way to ask politely to even get one..(I got 2 once at whole foods)..I hate that they do it but it is a hell of a beer...When the brewery decides to brew Pliny the Younger you'd think Jesus himself was coming back to earth. Last time it arrived down here in kegs, the line was wrapped around the corner of the street and you received one ticket and could only buy one

Cigar City makes a cucumber saison which sounds gross, but next time I'm in Tampa, I may have to try one.

Voodoo Brewery in Meadville,PA made a cucumber wit that was actually pretty good. I tried it at their brewpub this summer and was expecting it to be kinda nasty but I was surprised.
