"I don't think you just flip a switch," Brady said. "I wish it were that easy, and maybe there were times when it did look that easy. Maybe we just spoiled some people in the meantime because it's hard to win, man. It's hard to win."

dowling IR'd
hernandez and chung out
mankins, wilfork, gronk and hightower all less than 100%

i'd say this team will be lucky to make the playoffs despite their division.

They're getting in. I still think the AFC is down this year. That could change though in the playoffs.

Pats still could even earn a bye.

Further proof they feel their locker room can handle any talented knucklehead.

Here's to hoping this is more Haynesworth than Moss.

I was just more or less hoping it wouldn't get to the Gilbert Arenas Vs. Javaris Crittenden level.

If he's just a 7 game rental, a 4th seems a bit pricey... And desperate. Man that secondary is hot garbage. I hope it works out.

even if he doesn't work out, wasn't there a better chance given his talent and pedigree that he'd work out better than a fourth rounder anyway?

I don't get the mentality of NFL teams who think a fourth round pick is this hugely valuable asset...there's maybe 10 fourth round draft picks from the last decade that have game changing players...and most of those are probably of the Aaron Hernandez "should've gone much sooner, but something stupid like smoking pot made him drop way lower than he ever should have"

Yeah, I'm glad they used a fourth rounder to take a risk with a trade rather than collect a bunch of picks. We'll see what happens...

Absolutely enjoyable to watch these guys right now:

Unstoppable offense immediately followed by unimaginably bad defense.

Non-stop fun.

They're reaching a point where the defense is unfixable. And it is what it is.

Are Hernandez and Gronk injury prone?

Didn't both have significant injuries in college? And now both have suffered at least one serious injury that translated into missing several weeks.

Nationally, perhaps, but fair or unfair, locally, the expectation was to reach to the Super Bowl again.

I see they are pulling their annual late-season hot streak that gets everyone excited enough to think they won't lose again in the playoffs.

Posted this in the NFL thread, but I think it should live here, too, given all the trash talk Rex has spewed over the years.

That was one of the most hilariously bad plays I've ever seen.
