Irish are going to get destroyed in the title game by whoever shows up. It will be like when ohio state used to make championship games, total beat down. Beat purdue by 3, michigan by 7, stanford by 7, BYU by 3, Pitt by 3...... but hey, they're number 1!!!!! To be fair, they did have impressive wins against Navy and Wake Forest...
i'm sure oregon would've taken a measly 7 point advantage last night.
also, i noticed you ignored their solid win against oklahoma in Norman, OK.
this is the best season they've had since '93. i'm pretty happy with what they've achieved to this point and expect nothing more (although beating USC would be nice since 12-0 hasn't happened since '88).

I know. Frustratingly close game from a Georgia standpoint. They could not stop the run but still had a chance to win it at the end. Plenty of coulda/shouldas but none moreso than that last play. Would have been a heckuva fun game to watch if I didn't have a dawg in the fight.

As an LSU fan by marriage, I thought it was a good game. There are always coulda/shouldas, no one could possibly understand what happens under Les Miles' hat and we suffer every damn week, but I thought Georgia was very impressive and if I was a Georgia fan I would be pretty happy with the game and the whole season.

Maybe some Georgia fans will finally get off Richt's case and realize that they have a very good coach.

Richt coached a great game and it was a very good season. The fact is that it's been 1980 since they won a title chaps people's asses.
Being good but never winning is woefully un satisfying, like being a Braves fan in the 90's.
Everybody likes Richt and I know he hated getting that question again last night after playing so well but... In a Results business UGA's results aren't great. Another crappy second tier exhibition ending this year after being so close.
Georgia was awesome last night, and they earned shit for it
It's got to suck answering the why can't you win big games question every year. Every GD team in this fucking state is the same in that area.
That said the Alums love Richt by and large, it's the trailer trash walmart fan that wants change.
We're mostly happy no trees had to die last night in ATL.
