The thoughts may arrive like butterflies, but what about the records? Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder is slated to host a new, limited-run show on SiriusXM in which he’ll spin his favorite discs and discuss the groups he looks to for inspiration. He’ll also be dishing out stories from his long, lauded career in music.
“Eddie has been the voice of a generation and a voice with a conscience,” said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer, in a statement. “[His] record collection could tell some stories all by itself, let alone with Eddie at the helm.”
“The Eddie Vedder Radio Show” premieres Dec. 5 at 5pm ET on SiriusXM’s Pearl Jam Radio.

I always chuckle at Ed's awkward "here's a song that probably didn't get played on the radio back in the day..."* preface when playing Teenage Riot by SONIC YOUTH (one of the most familiar songs by one of the most successful independent bands of the 1980s) on Self-Pollution Radio.
I'm expecting lots of that.
And stories about Johnny Ramone, so many stories about Johnny Ramone.

i hope he eventually takes callers. i will ask him who he considers his father: pete townshend or johnny ramone? because i just don't know anymore.
I bet most will have a predisposition that this is awful, rather than feel happy that there's another avenue to enjoy a part of (one of) their favorite band.
