Is this movie really going to be called "Star Trek Into Darkness?"
Could the name be the result of some horribly misguided contest? Was that just the best title that Mrs. Carlson's third grade special education students could come up with in half an hour? Or did the writers just want to outjoke A Good Day to Die Hard?

Above (in the spoiler tag) is the Japanese version of the trailer. It's almost identical except it has a bit of extra footage at the end. Really awesome. The new stuff at the end includes, what looks to me to be an homage to
The Wrath of Khan. It possibly suggesting the fate of one of the characters.
I don't think the footage at the end is a spoiler necessarily. Could be a red herring, meant to evoke something that isn't a part of the movie at all. Could be Abrams & Co toying with the audience a bit. Though, it could also be a big clue into the villain, and maybe a huge plot point.

Looks like Kirk inside. I was just saying that to my co-workers. I'm thinking if it isn't a red herring, they're going that direction. Could be fun. And an obvious lead in to part three. And, who knows, maybe that's how they finally get Shatner into this reboot.
And some more speculation into Cumberbatch's character. New photo caption names him. But it might not be a name you were expecting. What does it all MEAN?!! Looks like the first official word is that Cumberbatch will be playing

All this speculation has so many fans frustrated. But I think it's hysterical. Maybe it's because I really don't care who Cumberbatch is playing. I'm just excited for a cool movie.
What did fans do before the internet. I almost don't even remember.
