I dont want to pass an opinion on it yet either. I think it looks promising, though.

I didn't watch the trailer, but I'm assuming it's not the same movie that came out in the 90's about people having sex after car crashes, right?

no its a movie featuring such fine thespians as ryan phillipe, brendan fraser, sandra bullock and tony danza. i have a feeling its going to be one of those movies that tries to act like it is really deep and profound but can't pull it off.

Ok, I watched about half the trailer and turned it off. Definitely not the movie I was thinking of. Looked average, something else will have to hook me in on that one.

You're wrong. I just saw the movie yesterday and thought it was brilliant. The premise is based on the dichotomy between deep-seeded racism among people and their ability to, at the most primal level, do good.

Tony Danza has about three lines and is on camera for about 1 minute. Sandra Bullock and Brendan Fraser play minor roles. Don't be misled. The guy from Hotel Rawanda is in it and plays a great part. I definitely recommend this movie for those of you that haven't seen it.

I have heard great things about this movie. And I am normally not to keen on seeing movies that have rap artists in them (they just annoy me) but I think that all those good things I hear might sway me into seeing it.

I've heard this film is amazing, but harsh.

Rollins recently reviewed in on his IFC show.

I will probably see it at some point, it looks pretty intense; but I'm worried I will just be infuriated by some of the content (moved to anger).

Ive honestly never been angered by a piece of art. Whether it be movie, art, or book. Ive been angered by how shitty something is, but not because of "offensive content". I cannot imagine that happening, it just seems so stupid. So what if someone is a racist or something in the movie that they made? Its their opinion, maybe its a shitty one but you can respect that it's theirs and move on. Ive never been angered by content before. My english teacher even gave a mini-lecture on this, on how if we object to any of the material in the summer reading then we need to get out of the IB program. Im in the summer reading and Im assuming that the book she meant was "Master Harold and the Boys", a play about racism. So one of the characters makes fun of black people and calls them "niggers"? Big fucking deal. In the first place, it wasn't done with the intent of inspiring racism. It was done to show a certain point of view that people have. Im going to assume that "Crash's" use of any slurs is only to demonstrate something. Secondly, who the fuck cares? Its a made up character, invented by someone who's opinion doesn't matter. The ONLY time I can see a piece of "art" angering me over content would be if it was anti (fill in the blank- Jew, christian, black, white) propaganda, and I dont really consider that art anyway. I hate this stupid politically correct bullshit. Anyone who is offended by content in a work of art needs to stop being a whiny little bitch and grow the fuck up.

I saw the movie this weekend and I really liked it, my friend, however, hated it. It just makes you think. I do think Ludacris did a pretty good job in it and Sandra Bullock was good too.

generally when i see racists characters it almost shows people how stupid and idiotic racists people are and from what ive heard about crash (going to see it tonight) the movie challenges all to think about themselves and beliefs and in the end its sort of a positive/unanswered ending.

My boyfriend left the bootleg here for me to watch. He really liked it. I've tried to watch it twice, and both times wandered away from the TV forgetting it was on. Couldn't keep my attention.

I just saw this, and I liked it very much. It's getting a bit tiresome with all these multi-story movies, but it worked very well. Like when you hear Sandra Bullock bitching about the lock-smith, and then later on you get to see what he has to put up with just because he's black. Hell, I want too see this again. Solid acting all over the place as well. A different take on the race-issue, at least a take I've never seen before. Matt Dillon's character was interesting too.

I really liked the scene where the locksmith gives the daughter his 'cloak'. Pure movie magic.
