yeah, it's definitly time for a new album.....but it doesn't look like it's coming any time soon.....
i saw him in montreal last year, unplugged, and i must say, it was one of the best performances i've ever seen....and lisa hannigan is one of the most talented female voices to emerge in a long time....

Damien Rice is awesome. There's some repetition, but to good effect. Christ, is Godspeed You Black Emperor or Sigur Ros can make masterpiece records involving tracks that repeat the same melodies for minutes at a time (and they have), then I'm willing to let a dude with an accoustic create a little mood music (and he does).
But I agree...release a new fucking record already. Between The Decemberists and the masterful Mountain Goats, I'm moving on already.

agreed.. hope he make ssomething different this time.
Woman Like A Man was quite different from anything on O, so it's not like he can't write faster songs.
woman like a man, was the first song i heard from him, and after that i fell in love with everything he sung.i actually owned B-sides a month before i bought "o", so it took sometime to get into the slower sind of him on "o'

If Soundgarden is perfectly fine with playing together with Tad Doyle on vocals, why the fuck is he wasting his life promoting the single worst album of all time? Holy shit, he has to be the stupidest motherfucker on earth.

On the downside...
this has all the hallmarks of a "one off" single... it being in honour of Aung San Su Kyee and everything.
I don't think Damo does political material for albums... or maybe I'm just making assumptions.

It's cool that Lisa is getting some credit for this. I'd be more excited for a solo record from her than anything from Damien. And I'm a huge D.R. fan.
