This needs to have its own thread (unless i missed one completely, in that case lock it)
what an ass.... he has put himself in a totally different league then any other NFL player. Hell even Randy Moss couldn't be this much of a cancer to a team. He belongs in the NBA with that sort of attitude.... the exact reason I hate the NBA (the "I" league). I think the Pats have proven it takes a T E A M to win a championship year in year out.

I cant see the Pats winning the Super Bowl next season. Teams now know how to play the Pats and the only thing that will keep them winning is their head coach. Brady is a pure QB and as a team they are very good, but I think their glory days are done.

I think it has more to do with Weiss and Romeo leaving... they've proven they can win with nothing, so I think it'll come down to not having those coaches to go to on the sideline...

I really don't think he thought this one through. The Eagles won the NFC title WITHOUT him last year, and they lost the Super Bowl with him. Obviously it wasn't his fault they lost (unless he was the one who told Reid not to bother running a no-huddle offense on their 2nd-to-last drive) nor is it his fault he had to miss the playoffs, but what can he point to as saying he deserves a raise??
There's a time to hit up ownership for more money, and it ISN'T right after the team did just as well in the playoffs with Freddie Mitchell in your spot.

People have known how to play New England since 2001, they just don't know how to BEAT THEM in most cases. At the beginning of last year they were the front-runners to win the Super Bowl, every one was gunning for them...and they still went 17-2.
If they were going to have an off year it LOOKS like it might be this year because they have to adjust to a new defensive co-ordinator, they likely wont have an offensive co-ordinator, they haven't replaced Bruschi, and they're transitioning from some of the veterans that won them their 3 rings.
But they're still SO good in SO many ways that they have to be the favorites to win it all again until they show otherwise.

The Dolphins were a lot more talented than their record indicated, but they still would've had Wannstedt coaching and that's a recipe for 5-11 at best. Now, if they'd had Bates from the beginning then it's a different story...
