Last night I went on a tear, here's a little rundown....

Sam Summer-best seasonal available
Magic Hat No. 9-possibly my fav microbrew, out of vermont
Bar Harbor Real/Bar Harbor Blueberry Ale-mix half and half, called a black and blue, out of this world
Sierra Nevada-another great ale, available most anywhere
Bass (ho hum)
Shipyard Export Ale -probably my favorite local micro, they make some great seasonals as well, especially pumpkinhead, breweries in Portland, ME and Orlando, FL
Gritty's Light Ale -available locally

Sorry to those not in the northeast, but next time you're around, look em' up!

My dad is a Magic Hat fan. He also likes Harpoon (IPA and ESB back when they made it).

I like whatever beer gets me drunkest fastest.

Great beer.

There was a brew pub near where I used to live in New York. It was in Suffern. The beer they made was called Ruffian Ale. Great food and awesome beer.

Here's a shot of the Mountain Valley Brew Pub.

The entire catalog can be found here. If you live in the NY area, I highly reccomend this place.

I wish I could nail down my favorite beers. I do have some favorite breweries. In order:

Dogfish Head Brewery, Delaware
Rogue Brewery, Oregon
Stone Brewery, Califorinia
Victory Brewing Company, Pennsylvania
Flying Dog Brewery, Colorado

lbc123, mentioned Sierra Nevada Pale Ale ... I think that is the best widely available ale you can lay your hands on. I've found some better beers, but if you're at almost any supermarket, you can lay your hands on some Sierra Nevada.

Also mentioned: Fat Tire: love it, wish I could get it in NC. Great Lakes ... I love their Dortmunder Gold. Visit their restaurant in Cleveland and demand to see the prohibition era bullet holes. That rocks!

i feel like i should have something to add to this thread, but since i started making my own beer a couple years ago, i don't drink much in the way of microbrews that aren't made by me. :|
