I know it's probably been discussed before, but we need consensus on this important topic: Is Bo Outlaw a superstar?
One could easily make the case that Bo Outlaw is one of the top ten players in the NBA. First of all, he has staying power, with 11 years of experience in the NBA. His numbers don't disappoint, either. During the regular season, he averaged 0.7 ppg, 0.3 bpg, 0.2 spg, 0.3 apg, and a whopping 1.4 rpg in only 5.5 minutes per game.
If we put those stats into perspective, that's 7 points, 2.6 blocks, 1.7 steals, 2.6 assists, and 12.2 rebounds per 48 minutes. The man can do anything.
I think Bo saw Nash receiving that trophy yesterday and said, "I think someday that should be mine." So he went and made the best of the garbage time he was given at the end of the game: as a result, his postseason averages are a phenomenal 24 steals and 24 assists per 48 minutes.
Is there really any question about it? Bo Outlaw clearly ranks alongside your Reggie Millers and your Ray Allens. Most of all, he has a humble attitude: despite his averages, he only plays garbage time. Does he complain? No, he knows that he is the secret weapon that will come in take over as soon as everything else fails.

no way is he a superstar...i see your point in that if he got more minutes he would put up better numbers, but they still wouldn't match up with miller or allen's..legit all-star maybe, but definitely not a superstar

I really didn't want to dignify this with a response, but then I thought...aw, fuck it.
he's done some important things. i think the sports-glasses industry was worried when Horace retired but Bo's helped them pick things up again. im not really an expert in that particular field, but theyre getting sales numbers close to what they had in the 80s (commonly known in the industry as "The Worthy/Rambis Boom".)
im sure Bo's created at least 3 or 4 new jobs in the eyewear business. not every player can impact the economy like that.
