For those that don't know, they will be showing a special on the new Xbox on MTV at 9:30 eastern time. They will be showing off all the spiffy features, and some footage from the new games.

I'm suddenly reminded why I loathe The Killers. The new XBOX looks cool though. I bet the new Playstation will be better though.

Only caught the last 10 minutes. PD0 looked alright, nothing jaw-dropping. I was most excited by the wireless controllers.

Anyone know if this is going to be replayed?

The show really didn't tell you that much. MTV managed to turn it into a giant promotion for them. Gamespot has a bunch of good info here http://www.gamespot.com/features/612429 ... slot_click

I always answer these type of console questions with the only correct answer: buy them both (and Revolution too)!

Microsoft's second-generation video game console features a multicore 3.2GHz IBM PowerPC-based CPU, a custom ATI graphics chip, and multichannel surround sound. The unit has wireless controllers and offers 720p and 1080i support for all games. The system is Wi-Fi ready and has a detachable 20GB hard drive.

From what I have read, Xbox 360 will indeed be backwards compatible.

Was anyone THAT impressed by the graphics?

I thought that Tony Hawk game looked like it could be on this generation's consoles...

I want to see what Nintendo has up its sleeve. They recently stated that graphics have reached a plateau - and after seeing the 360, they may be right.

Sopposedly, you will have to purchase the optional hard drive in order to utilize backward compatability.
