It was also my first thought that this was some type of ploy...and as some people said, it would be amazing if they were to pull this off and create sketches out of it.

But...if he's really going whacko, then damn, I hope he gets better. IMO, funniest man alive right now.

One never knows these days what is a play for "hype" and what is real.... if you're not immediately involved whose really to say whether or not it's bullshit...

...sort of like the woman who claimed there was a finger in her chili at Wendy's where after investigation they found that she put it there and it belonged to a co-worker of her husband.... but most people only heard the "finger found" story and not the follow up.

He might be ill, or he might be just doing some elaborate hoax to hype the next season. It would be really sad if it were bullshit, that any broadcaster would subscribe to it, but when you look at the Janet Jackson Superbowl bullshit (the publicity, even though negative, timed with an LP coming out), one never knows.
