Green Valley, I knew that was coming. I could have gone to that school, but I didn't want to and I'm glad that I didn't.

Alma Mater of Drew Brees and the son of Earl Campbell? WEST-LAKE *clap clap clap*
highland park is awesome.
While that may be, I still don't think you can claim a 4A school to be the best in the state... that's like lining up the Miami Hurricane football team against the New England Patriots... both are good in their respective divisions but one is going to win every time

you don't think highland park could compete in 5a in some sports?

I definitely think it would be a minority of sports... sure, they win the Lone Star Cup a lot, but it's for 4A... there's a pretty large gap between 4A and 5A teams in Texas

Massachusetts= Brockton??
Just because it is the biggest school, doesn't make it the best in the state. I'm biased towards my own alma mater and others in the Catholic Conference (Xaverian, Saint Johns Prep, Catholic Memorial).
What other sports has Brockton been consistently good in besides football (and even that sport seems to be one down swing lately)?
kind of suprising to see that my H.S. was ranked #1 for NY. We don't have any "famous" sports alumni, but we do send lots of kids to Division 1 programs for various sports.
you're from huntington? i'm right near you. my high school had too many white people to be ranked high. we're top 5 lacrosse in ny every year but that's about it

wow my high school is number one(california). i knew it would be high but i would have never guess the top spot
How would you have never guessed Long Beach Poly would be #1? They had like a 90 game win streak in football and have won a shite-load of championships... they are the only consensus #1 among everybody who ranks this stuff
Maybe it wasn't that big of a deal when you went there, but nowadays the high school sporting world revolves around LB-Poly... pretty cool that you went there, though... they're like, a dynasty

The H.S. they named for Washington is only a Division AA high school. We go up to AAAA in this state. Anything below AAA is considered a "small school" and I can't believe King's got that much respect.
Shoulda' been Garfield HS, but I guess they're only good in hoops really....so SI must have considered all sports, male & female.
Or shoulda' been Bellevue HS. 4 consecutive state titles in football, AND they snapped De La Salle's (CA) ridiculous win streak last season.

don't you mean White Islip? I know the town well. A few of my friends/family live there. ever get wings from Mustang Sally's? not bad, although I prefer the P.O. in Babylon.
