Here's where it stands for now. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions about the CURRENT list, feel free to comment.
I am not going to open up discussion on the new songs for the 2004 tour until after Election Day. The reasons for this are: a) I'm waiting for a copy of Kissimmee to surface; and b) I'm real busy right now, but will be less so after the election.

On the old board, over the process of several months, we collectively determined what the best live version of every song was. Very soon, I hope to be able to distribute this via BitTorrent and a few select B&Ps.

I am surprised the Champaign version of Crazy Mary was chosen over the Mountain View (SF) version. I am completely sick of that song, but the version from that show never fails to blow me away.

Nick, I would love to get a B&P of this, whenever it is available. I would be more than willing to help distribute it that way to others as well. I could never download something of that size through bit-torrent. Damn dial-up . Anyways, if that is a possibility whenever it's available, shoot me pm. If not no problem.

First of all, amazing list.
I am new here but I am long time fan with waaaaay too much knowledge of this band for my own good.
Anyways, the only exception I can make to that list is Black. I have recently listened to the 94 show in Atlanta, and that version of Black is just out of control. Mike seems to play off Eddie quite a bit at the end (especially around the 4 1/2 minute mark) and then Eddie starts improving some lines (which if anyone can tell me what he is saying, I would greatly appreciate that) and it just boils over.
Granted I haven't heard the Black (with improv): Zurich 6/18/1992 that you have listed, which I am sure is just fine. So I can't say for sure.
Also, can you anyone here tell me what the line is at the end of I Got Shit on the Touring Band DVD? He says something like "I take a bow...somethin somethin..." Been driving me nuts for a few years now.

Oh man, we had a long argument with Black.
We were getting waaaay too many Atlanta 1994 songs on this list, so I put my foot down and said I wasn't going to use it. I waffled on about 3 other versions before discovering Zurich 1992. I think you'll like the tag on it.
That list looks pretty badass.. I started reading the post thinking it was going to be 2 discs, then four, by the time I reached 10, I was laughing out loud, because of the enormity of this project, it's really awesome. I like the inclusion of all the covers, especially Blue, Red and Grey.. I've been dying for a good version of that song for a while, although I am partial to the HOB version, because it has so much meaning for me.. Anyway, awesome project, best of luck, I'd love to have that in my collection.

Oh, it's MORE than fine!!! Black is tough, there are quite a few outstanding versions ... I can think of at least 5 right off the top of my head that would be just fine on this compilation, and probably quite a few more if I spent a few minutes, but Zurich is definitely way up at or near the top of that list.

Pretty sure he says,
"...I don't think, these people understand, they don't understand, oh, NO ONE understands, we belong together, together...."

well, i have limited sources (about half a dozen bootlegs, LOTL, Touring Band 2000, L@TG and Benaroya. and no computer). so there's a better version of Yellow Ledbetter than the one on L@TG? is there really a better In my Tree? i've yet to listen to... i agree with all the Benaroya choices.
congrats on the herculeous work!
I gotta get my hands on this. This sounds like a terrific thing to create and share. Please do keep us all updated on the status of this project in the future and feel free to ask for help in obtaining any music you don't have. I'm sure others will do what they can to make something like this a reality for fans.
What about redemption song or dock of the bay? Also hunger strike just doesnt seem right w/o cornell in it. Awesome list though Ive been looking through my cds and I have about 1/2 of it. Great job!!

In general, I only went with covers that either had somewhat regular playtime, or an awesome SBD recording (Everyday People falls into the latter category).

Well, the problem was that the only four SBD versions of Hunger Strike all had Corin on them. I offered to sacrifice quality in place of Chris's appearance in Santa Barbara, but the consensus was just barely in Corin's favor.
