Unfortunately lots of athletes cheat on their wives, gamble and do things like that. As for Pippen I love him to death but that speaks to how great Jordan was to take a player that was useless and could make him a top 50 player.

if the 90's Scottie Pippen played today, he'd average 5 steals a game and would be a lock for defensive player of the year EVERY YEAR.

i remember watching a bulls game with walton announcing and he took a couple of shots at jordan during the game. i think my hatred for walton started right there. but it's good to know that he likes jordan.

the problem is that the majority of them don't sell, and retire on, an image of wholesomeness like m. jeff did. nobody likes a liar.

i can't diss Jordan for acting wholesome. he's a genius in my opinion. he made hundreds of millions of dollars just by knowing what sells. a nice smile, never giving his views on things, no tattoos, nice suits, staying out of trouble......he's basically the anti-Iverson

i would do it too. his NBA salary was pocket change compared to what those dumb corporations were paying him.

Jordan was brilliant on and off the court. the man was no saint. thats obvious....but Walton writing a column like that shows you how amazing of an actor he was. so many people think of him as this classy guy who gives inspirational quotes everytime he does an interview. that's GENIUS.

Hell no. If the friggin' Sonics would have kept Pippen when they drafted him, you might be looking at one or two of those championship trophies from the 90's sitting in a display case in Seattle somewhere.

We had some damn good teams in the 90's here in Seattle, and a guy like Pippen could have put us over the top. Alas...we lost TO Pippen in '96. Dammit.

Michael Jordan, unquestionably the best player ever, never won anything without Scottie Pippen. Say what you want about that...but it's true.

and if the queen had balls, she'd be the king.

As a chicago fan Jim I think we all used to feel that way. Walton was brutal on the last 3peat Bulls team. He looked to criticize and question the team it seemed whenever he had the chance.
