I'm not a huge soccer fan, but I am looking forward to watching this game next week - does anyone know if all the big stars for both squads will be playing, or are there a lot of league games still going on?

A lot of the bigger England stars won't be there due to a variety of reasons (injury, league obligations, etc.).

I have the USA roster:

GK 18 Kasey Keller (Borussia Moenchengladbach)
GK 24 Zach Thornton (Chicago)

D 3 Gregg Berhalter (Energie Cottbus)
D 4 Carlos Bocanegra (Fulham)
D 6 Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96)
D 12 Cory Gibbs (Feyenoord)
D 22 Oguchi Onyewu (Standard de Liege)
D 21 Greg Vanney (Dallas)

M 15 Bobby Convey (Reading)
M 2 Clint Dempsey (New England)
M 10 Landon Donovan (Los Angeles)
M 25 Kerry Zavagnin (Kansas City)*
M 5 John O'Brien (ADO Den Haag)
M 14 Steve Ralston (New England)
M 19 Clyde Simms (D.C. United)

F 11 Conor Casey (Mainz)
F 9 Eddie Johnson (Dallas)
F 20 Brian McBride (Fulham)

*Replacing Pablo Mastroeni (Colorado) due to injury

I like the U.S' chances in this friendly match. Should be entertaining regardless.

Gary Neville has also pulled out.

And it is a Squad and not a roster.

It would be nice if there were some one up front faster than Eddie Johnson. Isn't he getting kind of old?

oh never mind, I'm thinking of the wrong guy anyway.

He'll be up against a defence that is missing its 3 best centre backs and the best right back. The best left back will be distracted by an inquiry into his conduct. England doesn't have a keeper.

This should be a close game.

The US will probably win due to the fact that we are going to be playing with our 'B' team, whereas the US will play to their fullest.

Who cares anyway. Another pointless friendly. Bravo Sven.

And BTW. It is squad not roster.

He's injured or at least was injured. Probably getting some rest and rehab.
