Discuss.
This is usually my first IRL race that I watch in the season, but this year I've already watch two races. I really like how ESPN does there commercial breaks, you don't miss any of the action, hopefully Sunday ABC will do the same. probably will, since ABC owns ESPN.
Hopefully, Tony Kanaan can win from the pole that would totally kick ass. I'll also be routing for Danica Patrick to do well, she is a pretty damn good racer.
I watch IRL before I even stepped foot into watching stock car. And you can see that if you knew my favorite stock car drivers. Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman, Kasey Kahne, and Ken Schrader (all of which love open wheel, modifieds, dirt cars, sprint cars).
I guess from that line up that none of the NASCAR drivers plan to run Indy and the run over to N. Carolina for the Coco-Cola 600 (same day)?
I'd like to see Tony Stewart attempt that once more, just for fun.
Beginning of the year, Robby Gordon was thinking about it, but then decided not too.
Tony Stewart would love to but I guess he, the owners, or sponsors have a problem with him running an indy car for Chip Ganassi and then the 600 with Joe Gibbs, or some type of mixmatched scenario like this, I read this reason or something like it on tonystewart.com or nascar.com or somewhere.

they can't do it this year (or probably ever again) because they pushed back the start time of the 500, so it would be impossible for someone to make it to Charlotte in time for the 600. I never was a big fan of guys doing the double anyway, it hurts both teams when you are trying to split your time in 2 different places.
I'm surprised Robby Gordon didn't show up at Indy though, with the way his cup team has run this year, who knows if he will even qualify for the 600. At least he would have got to race in one of them.

kinda surprised to see Wheldon qualify so bad, but I'm sure he'll be up there mixing it up in no time, least i hope so.
also hoping hornish can stay up there.

Yes, hope Kanaan can win from pole. Wouldn't mind Castroneves to win, but it just isn't the same when the winner is Lactose intolerant and can't have a big swig of milk in the winners circle.
I see Kanaan, Hornish Jr., Castroneves, Scheckter, Dixon, and Wheldon, one of these guys will be in the winners circle drinking milk while the crew climbs the fence by the end of the race. Hopefully, Danica Patrick does well, she has been good during the first three races of the season, 4th races got caught up in a bad wreck. So hopefully she does well, but I think nerves will get to her alittle more, I mean Indy 500 is a big big race.
Other news, Larry Foyt, is a douche. He is the worst of the Foyt family of drivers.
I'd love to see her win, that would rock. Don't see it happening though. Isn't this her first 500?
Yes it is her first 500. It's like talking to a brick wall when you are so immersed in Del Tona (or is it Deltona).
