I'm pretty sure Peter Gammons also picked the Twins to win it all.

Mauer is sweet but i dont get how gammons can say he is the most important player in the AL, he splaye dlike what 40 game sin his career? He is amazing but how can you already say with him they win the series without him they dont? I dont get it...Twins have a chance basically cuz........Santana + Bullpen + Speed/Small Ball = Scary Postseason Team
okay twins fans, i dug up the first twins thread i could find on search. what do we think 1/4 of the way in?
before you shit on the infield, you might find this interesting if you didn't already know. bert said during tonight's game that guzman and mienkewitz (spelling?) are both hitting below .200. koskie is about to have surgery, so he's out. suddenly, our infield is looking good.
i have nothing negative to say about morneau.
i like punto at 2nd, but he is hurt every five minutes.
castro is playing ss well. bartlett, well, i guess i expected too much too soon.
cuddyer is getting hot. i'd still like to see tiffee play there more.
the outfield has been great. shannon is about where he should be and jacques has been impressive. hunter needs to taking extra bp.
ford's average is a little low, but he's been clutch.
the starting rotation has been awesome aside from radke's early inning bombs.
the pen is good, but i think romero needs work.
mauer is the man and redmond is doing a great backup job.
i still think we'll pass the white sox by august and never look back.

all i know is joe mauer better start hitting
He's hitting .311. What exactly are you looking for?
yeah that was like a month ago..i'd still like a little more power out of him...for my fantasy team purposes of course
He was hitting .313 as of 4/20 and 4/21
As far as his other numbers, he's 8th for catchers in HR and 13th for RBI's. But he's 3rd in AVG. I'm sure somebody would be willing to trade you Pierzynski for him if power is all you want
