Alright, this guy has been on five different championship teams and teams that he has not won with have gone deep in the playoffs (Houston, Phoenix, Lakers, San Antonio). Granted he's never been 'the man' on any of those teams and all the teams were real good but the question I pose is this: Is this guy one of the greatest team players of the last decade or so or has he just benefitted from being in the right place at the right time? He's obviously not Hall of Fame caliber (his numbers can't back up that claim) but he's been a consistently good player on great teams over the course of his career. He seems to hit the big shots when called upon and plays an all around great game with limited mistakes. He is a leader on the court as well. It seems that every year during playoff time, this guy does some great things. Thoughts?
i couldnt agree more....big game robert, he always hits a clutch three it seems
alot of people point to shaq leaving as the sole reason that the lakers are camped in the shitter for years to come, but players like horry, fox and fish contributed more to that team than anyone comes close to giving them credit for

funny you posted this... i was thinking about this last night, but i was kind of wondering how many titles the guy had?... did he play for houston when they won the two MJ-less titles?... 3 for the Lake Show?... was he with san antonio two years ago?... no need to ask about phoenix
he certainly has a knack for hitting huge shots in big games.
and people forget how athletic he was when he first came into the league.
the guy could pretty much dunk from just inside the foul line in game situations.

true, but take role players on championship away from star players and they often become mediocre players.
