I thought it had some hilarious moments, and then several periods where nothing funny happened for quite a while. Problem was that the story was vacant enough that they needed to keep the jokes coming to keep my interest. I didn't think it was anywhere close to as funny as the South Park movie.

When something "funny" wasn't happening, it's still funny b/c it's a movie with freaking puppets!

I just picked up this DVD today. What a great movie. The bonus features are incredible. The amount of work that went into making this movie is insane.
Worth the purchase then? Should I get it?
Gimme a scale of 1 to 10....
It was definately worth the purchase. I'd would rate it 8/10....9/10 with the bonus features.
If you look at it as a Jerry Bruckheimer movie with puppets, then it makes it a lot funnier. If you think the story was a little weak, then you may have missed the point of the movie, in my opinion. It's supposed to have a weak plot and dialoge. That's what they were going for....basically making fun of big hollywood blockbusters.

I think South Park is the greatest show in the history of TV. it also hasn't fallen off much in it's 8th year or so. All that said, Team America sucked.
